Chilled but not cold

Posted on April 12, 2022 by Roger Harmston Posted in ALL Leave a comment

This is a nice and simple Sauvignon Blanc from Chile. Showing lots of lemon and citrus notes. Fruit forward and easy drinking.

A nice pool wine and good for parties too.

Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself or with food (seafood the first night, and lasagna the next)
Don’t serve it too cold – like it was outside at the moment.

Angela Anaïs Juana Antolina Rosa Edelmira Nin y Culmell

Everything you want in a biography: Extremism, Passion. Innovation. Genius.

Anais was one of the most outlandish, complex individuals of our Century. You will reread many of the passages again and again in disbelief.

Read this, instead of Nin’s 69 odd diaries.

As a foreign correspondent, Noel Barber was a master in his craft of telling a tales of changing worlds through the lens of individuals tangled in forces of history.

King Farouk, Gamal Abdel Nassar, Anwar Sadat.  They’re all here in living colour.

The book captures the spirit of the city and it’s people.
